When I began this painting, I encountered my spiritual need to assume and develop, also in it, my "leitmotif" present in most of my works, that is “humankind's need to reciprocate the grandeur, generosity, and abundance of Nature by protecting the environment, preserving flora, and caring for fauna”. Because I start from my deep conviction that man is an inseparable part of Nature, and that only by taking care of it do we take care of ourselves.
Nature is the primary source of inspiration for my paintings, and humankind, as part of it, in its ceaseless search for energetic, spiritual, emotional, and psychological balance. But not a still, lifeless nature, rather vibrant, powerful, and abundant, in full motion and transformation, where humankind, flora, and fauna coexist in harmonious habitat.
In my painting "Four/My Flowery Planet”, four human faces can be seen, one in each of the four corners of the canvas, representing man divided into his four facets: body, soul, mind, and spirit. In the center, a profusely flowery world is perceived, representing Nature, interconnected with the breath of these four men from whom Nature draws its sustenance.
In my painting, the profusion of classical and more innovative symbols plays a leading role, and the central idea of my artwork highlights them. It is all an invitation to humankind to preserve Nature in return for its bounty, generosity, and abundance, for only in this way will we be taking care of ourselves.
