Sunsets and Sunrises

Sunset and sunrise in art bring a symbology of cycles of life that close and new ones that begin. Since ancient times, people used to orient themselves by the stars, and often made predictions or sought some form of guidance for daily life, seeking in some way to find the divine and the transcendent through the light of heaven. From God's walk through Eden at the turn of the day, there is something enchanting and mysterious about the beauty of the ephemeral colors of sunset and sunrise.

This beauty, which awakens a certain sense of nostalgia, has been the driving force that has inspired many artists in the history of art, and now becomes the subject of our exhibition.

Curator's note:

At the end of another exhibition, I can only thank the many artists who sent their work from all over the planet. I was very admired and passionate about works that captured very well the strength and beauty of the sun in art.

The sunset has always been something very special to me and seeing artists from all over the world sharing this passion with me through paint or photography is something very gratifying and, for sure, a unique moment in my own career as a painter.

It was an honor to receive these works of art and I sincerely wish that you continue to pursue your dreams without ever giving up. I believe we will still see each other, maybe sharing another beautiful sunset. Big hug!
